NRI Sabha Panchhat has finished construction of a storage room for the players at Public High School playground where the players can keep their personal things and sports equipment safely. Sabha is greatly thankful of the School Management for granting us permission to go ahead with this project. Er. Parmjit Singh’s firm was entrusted with the construction works and a village level team comprising Sarpanch Harjit Singh, S. Surinder Singh, Master Joga Singh, and Master Harjit Singh provided their full support in the completion of this project.
Also, Sabha has signed a two year MOU with Gram Panchayat for paying the electricity bills and associated expenses of the phase 1 of the solar street lighting, to ensure its uninterrupted functioning. It was necessary to do so as the Village Panchayat has no sources of income and since this expenditure would be made from the budget of the NRI Sabha (Canada), a written agreement was needed in order to fulfil the requirements of the Canadian law. (Even though the project is based on solar energy, it will be billed because it will not be able to generate as much electricity as it consumes. The various reasons could be the power outages during the day, cloud cover, dust on solar panels, power board limiting production to 80% of the sanctioned load, etc)
This project was commissioned by Eco Global Sales Corporation of Batala. A 5KW Solar power plant has been installed at Baba Kalu Mandir which supports 101 LED Lights(30W) on the perimeter road of the village.
A team comprising of Sarpanch Harjeet Singh, Shri Chandra Kant Singh, Master Harjit Singh Lucky, Er. Paramjit Singh Pamma, Shri Dharampal Bhatia, Paramjit Kalra Bobby, Master Dharminder Singh Vicky and S. Harjit Singh Raju provided all necessary support in carrying out this project.
We thank Sh. Jagdish Kumar, President of Baba Kalu Mandir’s managing committee, and other members who extended us full cooperation.
